​The Institute is developing a psychological instrument to measure the three sets of basic needs, namely, self, relational and physical intimacy needs. The literature on needs has been reviewed and existing instruments that measure one or more needs have been identified. The Institute is presently writing items keyed to each of the three sets of basic needs. This will be followed by establishing the instruments psychometric properties.
