Research

Research is an essential objective of the Institute for Self-in-Relationship Psychotherapy. The Institute is committed to conducting research to validate the concepts and processes of Self-in-Relationship Psychotherapy and to evaluate its approach to treatment. Research will be carried out in successive stages. In its First Stage, it will identify research tools that have been used in research, concepts that have been investigated, research methods that have been employed in these studies, populations that served as the basis for these investigations, and summarize the significant results. The Second Stage will prepared an annotated bibliography of articles with key links to these articles. In the Third Stage, research project will be designed and carried out.

 

The Institute supports both quantitative and qualitative research and initiatives that investigate Self-in-Relationship related concepts, processes and treatment. The Institute is open for collaborative investigations with universities, agencies, and private graduate students’ research projects.
